Klondike is the version many people mean when they say “Solitaire.” It uses one standard 52-card deck, seven tableau columns and four foundations. The aim is to move every card to its suit’s foundation, starting with the Ace and finishing with the King.
Find your preferred pace
Open the game to play with mouse or touch. Choose Draw 1 or Draw 3 in Settings; that choice applies to your next New Game. An existing game keeps its own draw mode, and returning to the site resumes your saved position.
Draw 1 gives you access to stock cards individually. Draw 3 asks you to plan around packets and the order of the waste. Both use the same tableau and foundation rules.
What changes on the table
Build tableau runs downward in alternating colors. A black Nine can receive a red Eight; a red Nine cannot. Move a face-up run together when its bottom card fits the destination. Only a King, or a run beginning with a King, can enter an empty column.
Moving the last face-up card away from a hidden tableau card turns that hidden card over automatically. Foundations build upward in one suit. Complete all four to win.
A quiet place to play
